What are botanical perfumes?-3

Botanical perfumes differ from most scents available on the market in that they are completely natural – created solely from plant extracts, essential oils, and resins. They do not contain synthetic fragrances, enhancers, or preservatives found in commercial products. This makes them closer to the body, skin, and emotions.

The variability of their scent, which arises from differences in the materials themselves (e.g., depending on the harvest), is not a flaw but their strength – botanical perfumes live, breathe, and adapt to you and the moment. A key stage is sourcing ingredients – exclusively those that are pure, certified, and marked with the INCI name. These guarantee quality, safety, and depth of fragrance. We use only essential oils, not fragrance oils – the latter are artificial and unsuitable for creating true, plant-based compositions.

In natural perfumes, **fixative** substances are particularly important, as they extend the longevity of the scent without using chemicals. These include resins (benzoin, olibanum), absolutes (vanilla, tonka), or thick oils like vetiver or patchouli. Thanks to them, the scent does not dissipate immediately, but unfolds on the skin for hours – slowly, in harmony with you.

The process of creating perfumes is not a formula – it is a personal ritual. The best time to build a scent is when you have the space and mood for it. You can follow your intuition, memory, imagination – or the humor of the day. That’s why every scent created during workshops is unique and genuine.

Behind every bottle lies mindfulness. From the selection of plants, through proportions, to the name, which often appears at the end – when the scent has already spoken. Botanical perfumes are not a product – they are an experience. One that you can create together with me – in the studio, online, or in your own home.
